I prefer the King James Version (KJV). In fact, I have a 400 year anniversary edition of the original King James Version. Other versions have omitted words, phrases and complete verses all together. Revelations 22:18-19
18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Whatever version you decide to use, make sure it is the TRUE word of God and nothing has been omitted or changed. Some versions say they are the same as the KJV except their words are easier to understand, i.e. you instead of ye, show instead of shew, etc. but they go much further by their omissions or changes.
The best thing to do when making this decision is to pray and ask God what version is His TRUE word and use the one He tells you to.
